A walk-through: Aft, there is a stylish beach club with a bar and shower. This area is distinct from the garage which opens laterally for launching and recovering the tender and the jet skis. There is also more than enough room in the garage for wetsuits, diving gear, and other watersports equipment. Moving forward, we enter the VIP stateroom. Located amidships, the cabin takes full advantage of almost eleven meters of beam and offers the same finish as is found in the master suite. The spectacular en suite is found to port side, offering a priceless view. Four further guest cabins are on this deck, each with a sumptuous en suite: three twins and one double. On the same deck, but completely separate, we have the crew quarters. There is separate access to all decks from the crew quarters, guaranteeing maximum discretion and efficiency for the guests. The interior design by Green and Mingarelli is unquestionably luxurious and yet the interior is extremely comfortable and inviting. Travertine, wood, parchment and several kinds of marble alternate with other more unusual materials like stingray, coconut weave, and mother of pearl. The inlaid Lalique crystal adds yet another touch of elegance and luminescence and the ivory leather ceilings complete the effect of space and light. The main deck cockpit is the first show stopping area to be found when coming aboard. It is spacious and private thanks to seating backed by raised storage units and a walkaround deck. The large c-shaped sofa has a coffee table, comfortable lounge chairs, and a complete corner bar. The main saloon first features a dining table for eight, then the remaining area is entirely dedicated to entertainment. The floor-to-ceiling windows fill the room with splendid natural light. The main salon is furnished with three large sofas along with a low table and a retractable wide screen TV. Forward there is another full bar to offer seamless service. Moving from the salon to the main foyer, with its majestic stairway connecting the three decks, you can also find a discrete access to the modern galley and crew area. Finished in granite, with a custom-made refrigerator, two large ovens, burners, deep fryer, and two wok burners, the galley of ILLUSION V is comparable with the best five star kitchens. A dumbwaiter connects the main deck pantry with the upper deck pantry. Forward of the foyer, we enter the master suite. The cabin, preceded by a relaxation area, is full beam with large lateral windows and a beautiful sofa. The master bathroom, just like the VIP bathroom, is entirely finished with onyx, with both sinks in carved marble. Extremely spacious, with two entryways and his-and-hers dressing rooms, it includes an enormous central shower, a bathtub and twin toilets. Another characteristic of this area is its complete silence. Noise and vibration reduction throughout the yacht was a specific request made by the owner, and the Benetti technicians, together with a Danish company specialised in noise reduction, succeeded admirably. Informal evenings are hosted on the open upper deck, where aft we find the dinner table to seat 14 and another full bar. Inside you will find the upper deck salon with sofas, entertainment area, and a corner bar. Fun and relaxation are the central themes that determine the upper deck layout as well as having a wine cellar and humidor for cigars. From the stern, we now come to the Sun deck which is undoubtedly the most popular area on board. A large Jacuzzi laid with pebbles to create a rose motif has a dramatic entrance of rustic travertine steps and is surrounded by sunbathing recliners, full bar, barbecue grill, and a large sofa. There is another large dining table that can seat 12 which can be sheltered from the wind (or the heat) thanks to a double sliding-doored veranda, yet even when indoors guests can enjoy a view of the starry heavens through the six window skylight. Whether inside or outside, all lighting aboard is furnished by a highly customised LED illumination system, with the possibility to individually control each fixture and create infinitely refined lighting scenarios.
