Help & FAQs
Quick answers about xplor — simple, clear, and to the point.
Brokers & Central Agents
Yes. Every yacht gets full search visibility for free. Brokers and central agents who want priority placement, direct enquiry links, and analytics pay a flat monthly fee. Paid tiers are launching soon — contact us for early access.
No. xplor does not hold a brokerage licence, take a share of charter earnings, or insert itself into the booking process. Direct client enquiries go to the central agent first. Co-brokers find yachts on xplor and contact the CA through normal industry channels. Nothing about the existing commission structure changes.
When a client finds a yacht and enquires without a co-broker, the enquiry goes directly to the central agent. xplor does not redirect, sell, or route that enquiry to any other party. What happens next is standard industry practice.
Many yachts are already in the xplor database from public sources. Brokers and CAs can claim and verify their listings, add pricing, and connect their fleet. Contact us to discuss fleet onboarding or API data feed options.
A central agent is the broker with an exclusive management contract from the owner. On xplor, the CA holds the canonical listing for that yacht — their contact details appear first on any direct enquiry. Owners can also register as their own central agent.
General
xplor is the charter search engine for superyachts. Search 12,757 yachts by size, region, type, and budget. Pricing is sourced live from brokerage listings across the web. xplor is free for clients and brokers to use — we never take a cut of charter earnings.
Anyone considering a superyacht charter. Clients use xplor to search and compare the entire market in one place. Brokers and central agents use it to get their yachts discovered. Owners use it to ensure their vessel is visible to the global charter market.
xplor is a neutral search engine, not a brokerage. We do not take commission, we do not route enquiries to the highest bidder, and we do not sell leads. Every direct enquiry goes to the listing central agent. We surface real pricing from brokerage websites across the web — so you can compare the market without contacting multiple brokers.
Pricing
Yes. Always. Searching, comparing pricing, and submitting enquiries costs nothing. xplor earns from broker visibility subscriptions — never from clients.
No. xplor does not process bookings and does not charge booking fees. The charter price you see is the charter price — xplor adds nothing to it.
Brokers and central agents pay a flat monthly subscription for enhanced visibility — priority placement in search results, direct enquiry links, and analytics. We never take a percentage of charter earnings or charge for leads.
Privacy & Data
Yes. We follow GDPR for EU users. You can export your data and request deletion in Settings. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
xplor stores anonymised search queries and click events to improve search quality and understand demand patterns. No personally identifiable data is stored without account registration.
Searching
xplor uses natural language semantic search. Type how you think — "50m motor yacht Mediterranean August 12 guests" — and the search engine understands size, region, type, guest count, and dates simultaneously. Results are ranked by match quality, with pricing and size proximity shown clearly.
Two sources. Yachts with published pricing show that rate directly. For yachts listed as Price on Request, xplor searches live brokerage listings across the web to surface real market pricing where available. Pricing is always shown with its source so you know what you are looking at.
Yes. xplor handles port-city searches differently from region searches. If you search for a yacht in Dubai or Singapore, results are filtered to yachts actually based in or near that location — not just any Mediterranean yacht. If availability is limited, we tell you honestly and show the nearest alternatives.
Motor yachts, sailing yachts, catamarans, explorer yachts, motor-sailers, and performance sailing yachts. Include the type in your search query and xplor will filter results accordingly.
Support
Use the Contact page or email info@xplor.io. We typically respond within one business day. For broker and CA onboarding enquiries, contact us directly to discuss early access and fleet listing.
Verified Reviews
Reviews on xplor are submitted by confirmed charterers — verified against booking records after the charter end date. Unverified submissions do not publish. For yachts with registered IMO or MMSI numbers, reviews are additionally cross-referenced against AIS vessel tracking data, confirming the yacht was in the stated location on the stated dates.
After your charter completes, you will receive a review invitation by email. Click the link, confirm your charter details, and submit your rating across five categories: vessel, crew, itinerary, food, and value. Reviews go through moderation before publishing.
Yes. Verified owners and central agents can submit a response to any published review on their yacht. Responses are displayed alongside the review on the listing page.
Yacht Owners
Find your yacht in search or on the discovery page and click "Claim this yacht." You will be prompted to verify your ownership or central agency relationship. Once approved, you control the listing details, pricing, and media.
No. xplor is a discovery and reputation layer — it does not touch your central agency contract, your commission structure, or your owner relationship. Your CA continues to manage all bookings as normal.
Nothing. xplor is free for yacht listings. Your vessel is discoverable to the global charter market at no cost. Enhanced visibility options for your CA are available via paid broker tiers.
