Roberto Del Re's exterior design for this 32.6-meter Maiora transforms the upper deck into an expansive sun sanctuary that feels more like a private resort terrace than a traditional yacht deck. Wide teak planking flows uninterrupted across multiple lounging zones, while custom-positioned sunbeds and seating areas create distinct spaces for morning yoga, afternoon reading, or sunset cocktails without ever feeling cramped despite the thoughtful allocation of space. BALANDRAU emerged from Maiora's Next Yacht Group facility in 2009 as a motor yacht that prioritizes outdoor living above all else. The sun deck's intelligent layout places a central dining table under a retractable awning, flanked by generous sunbathing areas that catch light from dawn until dusk. Del Re positioned the deck furniture to take advantage of 360-degree views while maintaining natural conversation clusters that shift as the day progresses. Below, four guest accommodations house up to eight guests, while five crew members maintain the yacht's operations from dedicated quarters. The 155 gross ton displacement provides stability for extended lounging sessions on deck, whether anchored in secluded coves or cruising between destinations. Maiora's interior team created spaces that serve the sun deck experience, with easy access routes and climate-controlled retreats when guests need respite from Mediterranean sunshine. The 6.85-meter beam gives Del Re's exterior design room to breathe, allowing for wide walkways around the sun deck perimeter and ensuring that even when all eight guests are on deck simultaneously, the space maintains its resort-like atmosphere rather than feeling crowded.
