Doug Peterson's naval architecture transforms ELYSIAN's expansive sun deck into a masterclass of open-air living aboard this distinguished 1984 Bowman sail yacht.

The 25. 6-meter vessel dedicates generous beam width to creating an uncompromised outdoor sanctuary where teak planking stretches across multiple levels of sun-soaked relaxation space. John Munford's interior design complements the deck's prominence by directing sight lines upward through carefully positioned openings that frame the rigging and canvas above. Peterson's dual role as both naval architect and exterior designer ensures the sun deck integrates naturally with the yacht's sailing performance, positioning lounging areas to remain stable and comfortable even when ELYSIAN heels under full sail. Four crew members maintain the 78-gross-ton yacht for up to six guests, while the generous 6. 1-meter beam provides the structural foundation for the deck's impressive proportions.
