Lissoni Associati reimagined the traditional beach club aboard this 2018 motor yacht, creating a platform that extends directly from the main deck to sit just above the waterline. Here, guests step from the yacht's interior onto what feels like a floating terrace, with the Mediterranean lapping mere inches below their feet and unobstructed views stretching to the horizon. Sanlorenzo delivered the SX88 with Officina Italiana Design's exterior lines emphasizing horizontal planes that draw the eye toward this distinctive stern arrangement. Where conventional yachts separate their interior and exterior spaces with barriers and transitions, naval architects Luca Santella and Lou Codega positioned this beach club as the yacht's natural gathering point, accessible through floor-to-ceiling glass panels that fold completely away. At 26.76 meters, the yacht accommodates eight guests with three crew maintaining operations from dedicated quarters. The 7.2-meter beam provides generous space for both the beach club's furniture arrangements and the interior volumes that flow toward it. Lissoni Associati carried neutral tones and natural materials throughout, creating sight lines that connect every social area to the water beyond. This integration of indoor and outdoor living extends beyond the beach club to the upper deck spaces, where additional lounging areas offer elevated perspectives of the same seascape. The 115-gross-ton yacht moves guests between anchorages with quiet efficiency, its design placing equal emphasis on passage-making capability and the quality of time spent at rest, particularly in those moments when the stern platform becomes a private slice of coastline, untethered from shore.
