Sparkman & Stephens conceived SILVERLINING in 2011 as a complete design statement, handling naval architecture, exterior styling, and interior spaces with the unified vision that defines their most cohesive sailing yachts.

This comprehensive approach by a single design house creates an unusual harmony across the 31. 4-meter Phithak-built vessel, where each element reinforces the others rather than competing for attention.

About this yacht

Sparkman & Stephens conceived SILVERLINING in 2011 as a complete design statement, handling naval architecture, exterior styling, and interior spaces with the unified vision that defines their most cohesive sailing yachts. This comprehensive approach by a single design house creates an unusual harmony across the 31.4-meter Phithak-built vessel, where each element reinforces the others rather than competing for attention. The result unfolds as a study in proportional restraint. Sparkman & Stephens shaped the 7.2-meter beam to balance interior volume against sailing performance, creating spaces that feel generous without sacrificing the yacht's ability to move efficiently through water. Their exterior lines follow the same principle, with each curve and angle serving both aesthetic and functional purposes. Below deck, the same design team carried their vision into living spaces that reflect sailing yacht traditions while accommodating eight guests. The interior architecture maintains clear sight lines and logical flow patterns, hallmarks of Sparkman & Stephens' approach to yacht planning. Materials and finishes echo the exterior's understated elegance, creating continuity between sailing and living spaces. Six crew members operate SILVERLINING from quarters positioned to maintain guest privacy while ensuring efficient yacht management. The 120-gross-ton yacht moves under sail power, relying on wind and crew expertise rather than mechanical speed to reach each destination. This singular design vision, executed by one firm across every aspect of the yacht, creates something increasingly rare in modern yachting: complete design coherence from waterline to masthead.
