Manoel Island Yacht Yard
Long-running Maltese yacht repair yard on Manoel Island, formally opened in 1966 on a former Royal Navy site and privatised on a 35-year lease in 2008. It hauls yachts up to 50 m and 500 t on seven slipways, has a 75 t travel hoist, and does afloat work on yachts up to 100 m. The island returned to public ownership in 2026, and the government has said the waterfront yard/marina area will go to a public concession call run by Transport Malta.
