Pacific Fishermen Shipyard
Ballard yard founded in 1946 by Norwegian-American fishermen and still owned by their descendants, working mostly on fishing boats and ferries. Large yachts made up around a tenth of its work in 2017. Its 600-tonne railways and screw lift take hulls up to 160 ft in fresh water, with no tide to deal with.
