When the ROC suffices on yachts, and getting it

The ROC is a full STCW radio certificate, but only for **sea area A1** and only for **A1 equipment**. Most yacht officers need the GOC. This lesson sets out where the ROC is accepted, and how UK certificates are now issued and **revalidated every five years**.
